The kitchen of the future has arrived. It's sustainable, SO sustainable in fact, it's kind of like having a compost bin in your appartment...expect it smells less and is about 1000 times more stylish. All models function as a biological machine of sorts - What we all usually throw in the trash is instead recycled, filtered or further processed by this freestanding system! Methane (fuel gas) from solid waste and vegetable peelings is used to help break down inputs with the help of plastic mold (?) Hard to imagine, but with 'Microbial Homes', green living can finally take place in a small space - without ruining that all important interior styling...
Unveiled during Dutch Design Week (DDW)- the five kitchen concepts came from Dutch group 'Philips' under the vision of design innovation and team director Clive van Heerden. |
